During my three years at TP, I was actively engaged in activities within the school and outside school. My leadership skills have been put to good use as the secretary of the Diploma in Information Technology Special Interest Group, vice president of TP Microsoft Student Community club, as well as a Microsoft Student Partner. Under my leadership, I have organized various events and gave several talks across campuses (NUS, NP, TP etc), enabling me to reach out to more than a thousand students in a year. Last year, I captained the team which represented Singapore in world’s premier student technology competition Imagine Cup in Paris and was placed in the Top 12 worldwide, Singapore’s’ best finish in the past four years. In addition, our project has also won the People’s Choice award and was shown in TP’s annual project showcase. I was also among the 15 students speakers selected in the Women-in-technology world forum held in concurrent with Imagine Cup competition representing Singapore.
As part of my internship, I held the post of Project Manager Intern in Microsoft Singapore, of which I worked closely with the Microsoft Innovation Centre Specialist in identifying and executing on key projects that we will undertake during my internship period. My attachment at Microsoft has received positive feedbacks from my supervisor and colleagues and I was certified as a SEM Professional after going through a Search Engine Marketing Course by SEMPO institute. I am now with Microsoft full time as an Associate Academic Developer Evangelist while waiting for my university to start.
