How does Home Tuition Care match students with tutors?

We have a database of students looking for tuition as well as profiles of thousands of tutors. New tuition assignments for all levels and subjects are updated daily on our website. We will contact both the tutors and students once we find a suitable match.

How do I register as a tutor?

You can register as a home tutor for free through the website. Click the button below to register:

Is registration free? Yes, registration is free. You will only share 50% of first month tuition fee as commission. The tuition rate is based on current market rates.

Am I an employee of Home Tuition Care? No. Home Tuition Care does not employ tutors. Tutors are responsible for their own taxes and any issues arising from tutoring jobs.

Where will the tuition be held?

The tuition is generally held at the student’s home. You can choose your preferred teaching area. For group tuition at your home, we can help find students to join your class.

What am I supposed to teach and provide?

You should teach subjects and levels you are proficient in, familiar with the current syllabus. You are responsible for your own teaching materials. You can claim back expenses for assessment/exercise books with parents' agreement, but must inform them beforehand.

How much do I need to pay Home Tuition Care?

We charge 50% commission on the first month tuition fees only. For example, if tuition fees are SGD 300/month, commission is SGD 150.

You do not need to pay directly; commission will be collected from the student’s parents. You will receive the remaining 50% of the first month fees from parents directly, and full fees from the second month onward.

When and how will I receive tuition offers?

We will contact you if we find assignments matching your qualifications, experience and rate. You can also apply for assignments on our website directly. Note that parents shortlist tutors based on their preferences. Please be patient as there are many tutors registered.

What if I do not receive offers for a long time?

To increase your chances:

• Update your profile with more details
• Reduce your expected tuition rate
• Upload a profile picture
• Manually apply for tuition assignments on our website

Can I change my mind after accepting an offer?

Please commit to long-term teaching when accepting an offer. Changing your mind after confirmation may result in legal actions due to administrative inconvenience to parents and consultants.
