I am an ex-MOE teacher (with PGDE qualification), now full-time tutor. Mathematics graduate of the University of Cambridge (the top university in the world for mathematics), with another Masters, from NTU for Instructional Design and Technology.
I also teach University Level maths (including statistics, engineering maths, logistics) and maths for adult learners.
Special services:
(1) I have my own specially crafted worksheets for Integrated Programme (IP) students.
(2) I provide support for students / potential scholars aiming to enter Oxford and Cambridge, including mock interviews and STEP Entrance Exams (much harder than 'A' levels and 'IB')
I encourage students to work diligently, scaffold them from simple to advanced knowledge, to build confidence based on competence, and to have hope. I collect past year papers, and also take special notice of challenging questions, and students' difficulties and misconceptions. For every topic, before they learn the topic, I already can anticipate what students will struggle with. I guide students on Problem-solving Heuristics and Metacognition (goal setting, planning, self-awareness, self-monitoring).
