My name is Sheena Han and I am a final year student in Republic Polytechnic. I am a hardworking and dedicated student, friendly and sociable person. I am a good student with a GPA of 3.3 average.
I intend to further my university studies overseas. I feel that if anyone has the opportunity, they should try out a different learning environment. Although it may be challenging, you could grasp a whole new different learning experience out there.
I have always put my best in the things I do and I do not give up easily. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with my students because by doing so, I am learning too!
Aside from sharing my knowledge with my students, I would also like to instill the habit that my students do their own research as well. From time to time, I will give them assignment that requires them to do their research before attending class. The reason for doing so is because when students take the time and effort to research for information (E.g. Library resources or internet materials), they are able to absorb these materials better than someone providing it to them.
I like to make learning fun. Instead of learning indoors, occasionally, I would like to bring my students for learning trips. (E.g. Science Centre etc) Of course this would be discussed with the parents beforehand.
I have had experiences in teaching in classes of 20 students and above in Religious Studies (Church) for the past 3 years. Although it is not an academic subject, the experience has taught me how to handle many different situations that comes along the way. I dare say my students enjoy attending my class!
I try my every means to make learning interesting. Hopefully, I can be successful that my future students look forward to tuition!
