Firstly, i have little teaching experiences as i am currently doing a full-time study in the University of London as an external student.
Since my 'O' level days as a secondary 5 student, i was not at all an academic person. I did badly in school, find it difficult to catch up with the subjects and was always having a hard time understanding the topics.
Frankly, i even scored badly for my 'O' levels preliminary exams. However, many teachers came to me and told me that i have the capabilities to achieve good results based on my good character of being strong-willed and determined.
They told me that it would be such a waste to see me go down the drain. There are of course, some teachers who mocked at me, thinking that i was just like any normal academic student that possessed no hope in education.
But i proved them wrong. I put those good qualities into focusing the last one month of the exam preparations.
The fruits of my hard labour paid off and from a failure in my Prelims, i became a 13-pointer in the 'O' levels. It was then i developed a sense of importance in my studies and created different ways of useful study methods throughout my Poly life and now,in my Uni life.
13 points in the 'O' levels is not at all a great score but what i am emphasizing on is i wanna help people believe in themselves just the way that i believed in myself many years ago. I want to share my success and apply it to the younger generation so that they can be even more successful than me.
