I was a former Head of Department (Mathematics) in a secondary school. I taught Mathematics and Additional Mathematics for 10 years before leaving the service to be a homemaker. Currently, I do part-time tuition on weekends. I keep abreast of the curriculum updates by reading up on the latest MOE syllabi. I also keep in touch with my former colleagues to stay updated with the curriculum. I teach a variety of students to ensure my teaching pedagogy is put to good use. Recently, I also write a series of Mathematics assessment books. I enjoy interacting with young people. I believe effective communication between my students and their parents is essential. Timely feedback given to both parties is important to ensure the well-being of the students is taken care of. Students and their parents are welcome to provide feedback on my teaching as well. This is to facilitate a more fruitful tutoring process, which in turn will benefit everyone.
