I have been giving tuition for 12 years, since 2006. After graduating from NTU with a degree in Chemical Engineering, I started my contract teaching at an Integrated Programme (IP) School in September 2011. In 2013, I graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PDGE) from the National Institute of Education (NIE). I am currently teaching Mathematics at an IP School.
I am passionate about teaching mathematics, and I always strive to improve my students' understanding in Mathematics, their confidence, and their grades. I prepare my students on how to cope with their examinations, and how to deal with challenging/novel questions.
I describe myself as punctual, responsible, approachable and friendly. I have an excellent personal track record at helping my students get distinctions for their mathematics at the ‘O’ Levels Examinations.
I believe that every student has the potential to excel in their tests and final exams. Many students memorise the working steps without understand the true meaning of it, let alone their applications. Education is not all about memorising and throwing the formulas into the exams. It is about grasping the fundamental concepts and learning how to apply it when being tasked with challenging questions. However some students may be weaker at relating to these fundamentals concepts and applications, therefore my aim is to guide them in doing so.
