I usually use past year papers from top primary school to gauge student's capabilities and to see which areas are they weak in. After that, i will provide exercises for the student to practice on based on the area he/she is weak at. I will try my best to go ahead of the teachers in school so as to ensure that they have more time to practice on topics that they are weak at. I'll also try to increase the independence of students towards studying by teaching them to spot their own mistakes and not be too dependent on the teachers.
