I have 3 years of experience in teaching Primary School students as a part-time tutor. Currently, I am a Full-Time Tutor teaching Primary school students and able to teach lower secondary school student.
I will carefully select assessment books that are suitable for each student because I understand that every student learns at a different pace. My teaching styles varies depend on the students themselves to cater for their needs. Some time textbook may be used to clear student's doubt.
I understand that it is very important for a student to understand a concept well before moving on to another chapter. After every chapter, there will be summary to sum up what they have learn and what is needed to take note off during their tests and examinations. I would also equipped them with skills and tips that will help them score in examinations.
In helping students to understand a difficult topic, some times I will use models to demonstrate and prove certain concept to student. I understand that is very critical for kinesthetic-learner student for learning as they learn through exposure of experience by carrying simple activity. An example would be the topic in science “Simple Machines” where demonstration of forces using pulley.
My specialty is in teaching Science as I am very passionate about sciences. Being a Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology student from Nanyang Polytechnic, my studies deals with interesting sciences subject.
Students usually have a two grades improvement after being taught by me.
