I am a firm believer in learning by understanding, and not by memory. For physics, my emphasis would be on mastering the fundamentals of the topic before possibly moving on to more challenging questions.
For English, lessons will be centred on the three tenets of any language, namely reading, writing and speaking. Comprehension and essay writing techniques will also be covered.
I am familiar with the rigours of the "O" Level syllabus because I have prior (and current) experience tutoring "O" Level students, as well as a Hwa Chong IP student.
To me, teaching is both challenging and fulfilling; the former because teaching methods, based on the fundamentals earlier described, must be tailored to different students as everyone learns in a different way, and the latter because one derives great satisfaction from watching his students improve.
Tutor is currently pursuing his degree at NUS Law.
